Makere United outshines City Stars fc on a friendly match.

Makere United came from behind and won on 3-1 goals at Laini Primary School ground which serves as a homeground for City Stars. The friendly match was played on Sunday the 17th November 2019.

Kuyo Joshua’s early goal in the first half gave the hosts a lead. The famous “Wazimu football club” made more impressions but this couldn’t deny the visitors a comeback.

Some minutes towards the end of the first half, there was a penalty awarded by the referee after City Stars’s defender made a mistake at the penalty box and Makere United’s goalkeeper was given the chance to equalise. Maro Shabu did it as predicted and the score sheet was 1-1. Ali Toto added the second goal on the 40th minute and the first half ended 2-1 in favor of the visitors.

As the second half began, Makere fans who had traveled to cheer, made applauds to ensure a comfortable win for their team.

The hosts brought several experienced players but it didn’t made any improvement as the third goal was scored by Guyo Omar which was very magnificent.

The visitors had improved a lot after a 1-1 draw against Shika Adabu FC on the other week.

City Stars on the other hand, planned ways to improve after a loss to the visitors today.

Meanwhile Zamaleck fc on Wednesday 15th November, went on a 1-1 draw at Zamaleck ground against Kumbi United.

Friendly matches are being witnessed in the area since no tournaments have been launched so far.
