“Her Majesty the Ex” a popular literature novel written by the upcoming author Tokal Morowa has finally been launched. The book was inaugurated yesterday in a colorful ceremony at Hola City graced by the Principal Secretary for Youth, Gender Safina Kwekwe, a renowned author Prof Clara Maomanyi, Mr Brian Warui the Kenya Secretary General for Youth and Governance and CEC for Health & Sanitation Mwanajuma Hiribae among other dignitaries.
The occasion was also attended by the parents of Morowa, Mr Tokal and Mama Halako. Friends and relatives of the author also graced the occasion. Local artists Mr Rai and Dubi Nyada and traditional dancers Daya, Kilumbilumbi, Filis, Orma, and Jurisa from the major communities stole the day with powerful dances and patriotic songs.
Speakers at the occasion showered praises and lauded the young man Mr Morowa who is in his early 20’s for the brilliant idea of writing the book and wished him well in his new career. The County was asked to assist local talented artists and upcoming writers like Tokal to realise their dreams.
In the success story of publishing the book Mr Morowa could not forget to acknowledge support he received from the County Woman Rep Mama Rehema Hassan and the Chief Admin Secretary Hussein Dado, Mikinduni Ward MCA Buya Yusa, County Government and all who participated in fundraising to ensure he obtained cash to publish the book.
The event however, was affected by the on going preparations for Mashujaa Day which will take place in Mombasa. Many invited guests and leaders traveled to Mombasa to meet the President.
