In a statement posted to the official Facebook page, Tanariver Governor Rtd.Major Dhadho Godhana has reshuffled his chief officers in some key ministries.
Mr. Erick Arua, who was the chief officer Sports has been transfered to the Department of Health and Sanitation docket,Mr.Ahmed Barako is the new chief officer Department of Livestock, Mr. George Kay moved from the Department of Health to Environmental & Natural resources, Mr. Siraj Mohammed is the new Sports, Gender Culture and Social services Chief Officer.
The Facebook statement reads Pursuant to the provisions of Section 31 (d) of the County Governments Act, 2012 which provides that,
“The Governor shall have such powers as may be necessary for the execution of the duties of the office of the Governor”;
I Major (Rtd) Dr. Dhadho Gaddae Godhana hereby effects a reshuffle in the offices of the County Chief Officers as follows:
- Erick Arua -Department of Health & Sanitation
- Ahmed Barako- Department of Livestock
- George Kay-Department of Environment & Natural Resources
- Siraj Mohammed Abdullahi-Department of sport, Gender culture, and social services
Further, and by the powers bestowed upon me by Section 31 (d) mentioned above, I direct that the department of Cooperatives which is currently domiciled in the department of Trade be moved to the Department of Agriculture.
