New Dawn for Laini Primary school after Miss Tourism courtesy visit.


Miss tourism Tanariver County Zilpa Chuchu in partnership with Tanariver County department of tourism, Tanariver County Women for Change and the Kenya Association of Women in tourism paid a courtesy visit to Laini primary school in Milalulu, Galole Sub-County.

The visit was majorly for motivational talks and giving students hope for a better life, this is after the school management had requested for the motivational talk to its students.

The motivational talk ranged from peer pressure, drug and substance abuse, sex education, teenage pregnancy and educational performance.

The school has been facing students unrest mainly in school drop outs and also one of the student was recently gang raped and the case is in court, the motivational speakers had a chance to educate the students and also were able to get confessional stories from the students leading to emotional moments where by the deputy head teacher was in tears minding the fact that some confessions were so deep and had never heard of them before.


The delegation promised to follow up on the issue of school drop outs and early pregnancies as it was rampant in the area.

The department of tourism was led by Ms. Lilian Shari, Mrs.Hadia Komora chair lady Tanariver County Women for Change,Mrs.Catherine Mwikali Coast region chairperson Kenya Association of Women in Tourism and Maureen Awour Chairperson Kenya Association of Women in Tourism Kilifi County.

Parents, teachers and students Appreciated the visit and promised to engage the visitors and order to help the students achieve there dreams.
