KULESA MAN INJURED BY A ROGUE LEOPARD

Khalif Gure Bure from Tawakal village in Kulesa area was attacked and injured by a leopard around 0530 hours in the morning.

The elderly man was heading to mosque for morning prayers to start his fasting day when the incidence occurred. He sustained serious injury on both his right hand and leg.

Family of the victim called Kenya Police and Kenya wildlife service (KWS) officers who responded, but unfortunately the animal escaped to the nearby forest, the matter was booked at Gamba Police station vide OB Number 06/03/06/2019 and at Kenya wildlife service Tana Delta, Garsen vide OB Number 05/03/06/2019

The affected was rushed to Garsen health center for treatment and is responding well.

Tawakal is a small village which is across Kulesa village, it’s occupants are Wardey community. The village is surrounded by bush and the leopard was hunting domestic animals kept by the villagers.
