Mr.Dumal Hajj Osman, a Tana River County Nominated Mca and also the chairperson of the assembly Lands, Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Veterinary committee was on Saturday arrested by detectives in Asa Kone Forest in Tana River County and linked to the recent Italian Aid worker abduction.
Mr. Osman, together with one Mr. Hassan Borrow Khamis, were arrested while allegedly trying to supply food to the abductors.
On December 4th, together with a third suspect, Ms. Rukia Nuno who is the wife to one of the suspected abductors, The Nominated Mca and Mr. Khamis were presented in a Malindi Court before Chief Magistrate Julie Oseko to request for more days for investigation completion and the three were ordered to be detained until December 14th.
A Toyota fielder vehicle, owned by the two was found deep inside the forest and its believed that the two had plans to transport food and medication to the abductors.
Security forces are still on the ground trying to save the Italian Aid worker who was abducted last Month in Chakama Village, Kilifi County.
It’s believed that the abductors have been planning to cross to Somalia where there can exchange the Aid worker with a huge ransom but they have been cornered by security forces.
