Tana River County Governor, H.E major (Rtd) Dr Dhadho Godhana yesterday met senior officials of the coast development Authority (CDA) in Mombasa.
The meeting aimed at reactivating and promoting economic partnership between Tana River County Government and the CDA in terms of creating the much-needed employment opportunities for people of Tana River county and boosting of income generation activities from mango farmers.
The Coast Development Authority managing Director Dr. Keynan M.Hassan promised to employ youth from tana river county in the cooperative sectors.
CDA Director Ms Beatrice Gambo said that Galole Farmers are very close to her heart. She said that there is high demand for Mangoes and Tana River county has the potential in this regard.
H.E was accompanied by CEC Trade Yahya Barrow; CEC Agriculture Javana Bonaya, County Attorney Isaiah Munje; Chief Officer Trade Kanchoru Gollo ;Chief officer Land Francis Malibe; Director Linkages and Partnership Major (Rtd) Mohammed Morowa; Director Trade Elisha Buya,Director; TAWASCO director Said Omara among other stakeholders and farmers.
It is from this forum that job opportunities will be in plenty for many youth who are jobless, apart from jobs, farmers from Tana River also expect to be beneficiaries of the same.
