On Monday it was a suprise to workers who are fond of reporting to work late. As they reported like usual, they found an unfamiliar environment at the county offices when they saw the gate locked. According to our source, the workers were known to report late at work especially on mondays. Some would report late monday and leave for the weekend early.
This day was a shocker to them. Some of the workers defended themselves that they reported late because they were on a go slow in demand for their unpaid salaries.
The county assembly recently passed the annual budget that will see workers paid and also development commence.
On other news that happened the same day, cabinet secretary Fred Matiangi has announced that on Wednesday 10th October will be a public holiday. Kenyans are going to celebrate Moi Day for the first time since passing of the new constitution in 2010.
This will surely be a joyous moment to the workers who were sent home for reporting to work late. Happy Moi Day in advance you all.
